History
Groppe, Long & Littell is the successor firm to Mares & Groppe, which was formed in 1955 to provide consulting services to the petroleum, natural gas, refining and petrochemical industries. The firm’s current name was adopted in 1976, reflecting the shift of the firm’s focus from acting as business advisors to providing analysis and forecasts of market conditions. During the past 30 years, the firm has earned a reputation for accurate forecasts of major changes in oil and natural gas prices.
